An establishment/individual offering odds on the outcome of events, usually but not exclusively sports When two or more participants finish with the same results

 

Shots on target / goal: A shot on target or a shot on goal (SOG) is any shot attempt that would or does enter the goal if left unblocked. 

Bets settlement will be based according to the official sources (Football leagues, FIFA, UEFA etc). Hitting the post or crossbar is a considered as a shot on target ONLY if the ball goes into the goal. However, hitting the post or crossbar is not a shot on target if the ball deflects off the post without passing the goal line.

Ace: In tennis, an ace is a legal serve that isn’t touched by the racket of the opponent. The serving player wins the point.

 

Clean Sheet: A football term describing a game or period in which a team or player has not conceded a goal.

 

Correct Score: A bet placed on the exact score of a match or event at full or part time.

 

DNB / Draw no bet: If you place a DNB bet and the result is a draw your bet will be voided and you will retain your stake. If you bet on ‘Next Goal DNB’ and neither team scores another goal your bet will be voided.

 

Double Chance: This is where it is possible to bet simultaneously on two outcomes of a match or event (at full or part time). The options are: 1X, 12 and X2. 1 – Home team, or team listed to the left side of the offer X – Draw, or the selection in the middle 2 – Away team, or team listed to the right side of the offer.

 

Home Run: In baseball, a home run is scored when the batter makes it safely around all bases and back to the home plate without stopping.

 

Injury Time: The referee may make an allowance for time lost through substitutions, injured players requiring attention or other stoppages. This added time is commonly referred to as stoppage time or injury time and it is added to the end of the match.

 

KO: A knockout in boxing is awarded when one participant is unable to rise from the canvas within a specified period of time after a knockdown. A technical knockout (also referred to as a TKO) is when the referee decides that a fighter cannot continue the match even though he didn’t fail the count.

 

Match Bet (1X2): A bet placed on the outcome of a match or event at full or part time. The options are: 1 – Home team, or team listed to the left side of the offer X – Draw, or the selection in the middle 2 – Away team, or team listed to the right side of the offer.

 

Neutral Site / Ground: An arena, court, ring, rink or field where neither side has a home advantage.

 

Over/Under: A bet on whether the final result of an event will be under or over a set amount of goals, points etc. An Over/Under line will normally be shown with .5 in the end. If the Over/Under line is a round number and it turns out to be the correct result, your stake will be refunded.

 

Overtime: When a game is tied at the end of normal time there will be overtime until one team wins or the maximum specified overtime periods have expired.

 

Stake: The money used to bet on an event.

 

Tie: When two or more participants finish with the same results.

 

Trixie: A combination bet on three events combined into three doubles and one treble - i.e. four bets.

 

Void Bet: A bet which is declared invalid. The stake is returned unless the voided event was included in a multiple system. The voided event is said to be priced at odds 1.00.
